30 June 2025 - 19:21

High temperatures

High temperatures are expected in the coming days. Despite the heat, the on-campus physical workshops will continue as planned. These sessions include interactive and hands-on components that cannot be effectively delivered online without compromising the quality and learning objectives of the workshop.

Here are a few tips to help you cope with the heat:

  • If you're going outside, wear light, breathable clothing in light colors (avoid synthetic fabrics), a sun hat or cap, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
  • Drink regularly—even before you feel thirsty. Water is the best option; try to avoid sugary drinks, as they are absorbed more slowly. Bring a reusable water bottle. You can refill it with potable tap water at the taps in the AP building (you can find the campus plan on our website) or at the restroom facilities on campus.
  • Increase your water intake:
    • At rest: at least 1.5 liters per day
    • Spread your drinking throughout the day (not just during meals)
